SUSAN MARY TROELL ZOLLICOFFER was born to the late Hamlet Arthur Troell and Florence Louise Pearce Troell on April 20, 1943, in Queens, New York. She departed this earthly life on Monday, December 2, 2019, in the serenity of her home in Littleton, North Carolina.
Susan’s formal education was received in the school system of New York. After graduating from high school, she attended college, received a Bachelor of Education Degree, and taught school in the New York City school systems and also in the Philippines.
Susan enjoyed quilting and going to the Littleton Community Center as long as her health allowed. She loved spending time with the other seniors and sharing in the activities offered by the center.
Susan was united in marriage to Jasper Louis “Love” Zollicoffer, who preceded her in death on January 7, 2008.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Edward Jordan.
Those remaining to treasure the memory of her life and love are her stepchildren, Teresa and Klaus Beckmon of Conyers, GA, Jasper Zollicoffer, Jr. of Ellenwood, GA, Cabella and Larry Knight of Littleton, NC, Sharon Daniels and Retha Ashe both of Stone Mountain, GA, and Manerva and Dwayne Daniels of Perry, GA; eleven step grandchildren; ten step great-grandchildren; her church family, neighbors and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Friday, December 6, 2019, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 589 NC Highway 48, Roanoke Rapids, NC. Jeff Haislip will be in charge of the memorial service.
