Ronnie Kell Green

RONNIE KELL GREEN was called home by his Heavenly Father on Monday, April 25, 2016, at Halifax Regional Medical Center in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. He was born to Hazel Pullen and the late Willie Hawkins on August 10, 1961.

During his early years, he gave his life to Christ and became a member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church in Halifax, North Carolina.

His formal education was received in the Halifax County Public School System, and he graduated from the former Eastman High School in Enfield, North Carolina, with the class of 1979. He was employed with the Roanoke Rapids City Schools and Halifax Regional Medical Center.

Ronnie found great joy in working, cooking, canning, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. He will be sorely missed and forever remembered by everyone whose life he touched in so many special ways.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Cad “CB” Pullen; and his grandmothers, Bessie Harris and Helen Pullen.

Those remaining to always share the precious memories of his life and love are his devoted wife, Anna Faulcon Green of the home; his darling daughters, Demetria S. Green of Greensboro, NC, and Ronnell D. Green of Durham, NC; his mother, Hazel Pullen of Enfield, NC; his mother-in-law, Minister Ruby B. Faulcon of Littleton, NC; his stepmother, Linda Hawkins of Hampton, VA; his siblings, Cynthia Williams (Abraham), Karen Nicholson (Milton), and Elizabeth Ann Pullen all of Enfield, NC, Addrena Brawner of Hampton, VA, Marvin Hawkins of Beltsville, MD, Tammy Daniels (Timothy) of Newport News, VA, and Marvet Joye of Richmond, VA; his special “Sons of the Heart”, Dalshone Dawson of Newport News, VA, and Joseph Johnson of Greensboro, NC; six other brothers-in-law and their spouses; five sisters-in-law and their spouses; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M on Friday, April 29, 2016, at the Piney Grove Baptist Church in Halifax, NC. The Pastor, Rev. Dr. C.E. McCollum, will officiate, and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home on Thursday, April 28, 2016.
