MRS. PHENON MILLS FAULCON was the ninth child entrusted to the parentage of Eddie Mills and Mary Brown Mills on July 27, 1928. In addition to being predeceased by her parents and siblings, she is also predeceased by her husband, Eddie Lee Faulcon, Sr., and two daughters, Sophia Faulcon and Oneva Alston.
Mrs. Faulcon joined Carters Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, at an early age. She offered spiritual guidance to those who knew her in the community and workplace, as she spent many years of loyal service to the Food and Nutrition Service of Halifax County Schools, Home Health, Baby Love and various other programs of the Halifax County Health Department.
Mrs. Faulcon was very proud of her years of membership in the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary of General Daniel Chappie James Post 425 in Littleton, North Carolina, where she handed poppies, placed flags on the graves of veterans, and pinned medals at Roanoke Rapids’, Weldon City’s, and Halifax County’s Special Olympics.
Mrs. Faulcon expressed great pride and joy serving in her unofficial title as “Mama” to her children’s classmates and friends. She loved people. She loved life. And she loved us!
