McKinley Louis “Kent” Patterson, Jr.

McKINLEY LOUIS “KENT” PATTERSON, JR., son of the late McKinley Louis Patterson, Sr. and Louise Harvey Patterson, was born on August 28, 1960, in Halifax County, North Carolina. He departed this earthly life on Sunday, August 30, 2020, in the serenity of his home in Littleton, North Carolina.

During his early life, “Kent” professed faith in Jesus Christ, was baptized, and became a member of the St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Littleton, North Carolina. He began a slow

transition of visiting the church until God called him home.

“Kent’s” formal education was received in the public school system of Halifax County. He became employed as a Spin doffer at the Patterson Plant of the former J. P. Steven’s and Company of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, and later worked for a while on the Isles Farm in Littleton, North Carolina, until he became disabled.

Those left to forever treasure the precious memories of his life and love are his two sisters, Lisa Patterson of Ludowici, GA, and Belinda Williams (Bobby) of Roanoke Rapids, NC; three brothers, Richard Patterson (Carolyn) of Littleton, NC, Amos Patterson of Aulander, NC, and Jerome Patterson (Tenekquala) of Weldon, NC; his special aunts-of-the-heart, Nisha, Elizabeth, and Magie Ree Harvey, and Geraldine Watson all of Littleton, NC; his special great-uncle, Linwood Fobbs of Temple Hills, MD; his special great-aunt, Mary Fobbs of Norfolk, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
