Judge Archie D. Williams

judgeThe Honorable Archie Daniel Williams, passed away tranquilly on December 11, 2014, in Montgomery Village, Maryland, with his family by his bedside. Judge Williams was born to the late William Williams and Magnolia Williams Williams on November 11, 1917, in Warren County, North Carolina, and was the fourth of their eight children.

He served his country in the United States Army during World War II, where he met and married Anna Matile King. Their loving union lasted for sixty-seven years, and God blessed them with two children, Carole P. Carter and Archie D. Williams, Jr.

After his departure from the Army, Judge Williams received his law degree and became a practicing attorney for numerous years in Baltimore, Maryland, before becoming a judge of the Orphans Court in Baltimore City. Judge Williams and Anna retired to his family home in North Carolina, for many years before his recent return to Maryland.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, December 19, 2014, at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 2241 NC Highway 43 in Warrenton, NC. A viewing will be held at the church from 11:00 A.M until the funeral hour. Pastor, Amantha Barbee, will eulogize, and burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church Scholarship Fund in memory of Judge Archie D. Williams.
