James Willis “Willie Mac”Faulcon

CaptureJames Willis “Willie Mac”Faulcon was born on Thursday, April 10, 1947, in Warren County, North Carolina, to the late James Willis Faulcon and Elvira Neville Faulcon. He transitioned from this earthly life into eternal rest and peace on Thursday, January 9, 2014, at Shore Medical Center in Somers Point, New Jersey.

He received his formal education in the Halifax County Public School System and graduated from the former McIver High School in Littleton, North Carolina, with the class of 1965.  After graduation, being the giving person that he was, he immediately joined the Military and served as a Corporal in the United States Army for six years. Upon leaving the Military Service in 1973, Willie relocated to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. There, he began to further his education at Harrisburg Area Community College. In 2000, after several years of working with his brother, Eugene Faulcon, at his janitorial business, Willie chose to relocate to Pleasantville, New Jersey.

Willie was an employee of Interstate Realty Management Company for twenty years. He then retired because of declining health. After retirement, he held jobs at Madison Security Company, Serenity Funeral Home, and Handy Man Services and Landscaping, which was his personal business. In his leisure, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, cooking, helping others and spending time with family and friends.

Willie had a zest for life and was a true servant of the Lord. Anytime he was visiting in North Carolina, he made it a priority to worship at Roanoke Chapel Baptist Church. On November 4, 2007, Willie became a member of Grace Assembly of God, in Pleasantville, New Jersey. Not only was he a faithful church member, he was also genuine in his friendship. He had such a love for helping others, that he would put their needs before his own. Even in his final hours, he continued to lend a helping hand to those in need.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, John Faulcon, Sr. and Eugene Faulcon; his sisters-in-law, Rosetta Faulcon and Maude Faulcon; his brothers-in-law, John T. Mills and Milton Solomon, Sr.

Those left to celebrate his life are his son, James “Jimmy” Faulcon  of Atlanta, Georgia; his companion, Juanita Johnson of Atlantic City, New Jersey; his sisters, Frances Mills, Idell Brown, and Eva Ravenell of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Alberta Solomon and Viola “Betty” Faulcon of Littleton, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Roanoke Chapel Baptist Church in Littleton, NC.  Rev.  Milton R. Solomon, Jr. will eulogize and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
