FLETCHER FLOYD CAINE, JR. was born to the late Fletcher Floyd Caine, Sr. and Catherine Webb Caine on April 6, 1942, in Halifax County, North Carolina. He transitioned from this earthly home to the Heavenly realm on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at Halifax Regional Medical Center in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.
During his early life, Fletcher accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and joined the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Littleton, North Carolina. His formal education was received in the Halifax County Public School System.
Fletcher became employed as a Maintenance Supervisor and Building Superintendent at the Kirkwood F. Adams Community Center in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, and retired in 1990, after thirty years of loyal devoted service.
Fletcher loved gardening, hunting, and fishing. He also found great enjoyment in cooking on the grill and spending special time with his caring family and those friends with whom he had developed lasting relationships. Fletcher will be forever remembered for his kind heart, warm smile, gentle spirit, and willingness to help others.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William Caine and James “Woodie” Caine; and one sister, Barbara Caine.
Treasured memories of his life and love will remain in the hearts and minds of his three daughters, Trish Alston-Kelly (James) of Branchburg, NJ, Jacqueline Caine-Williams (Lenox) of Middletown, DE, and Joyce Marie Caine of Union, NJ; three grandchildren, Khaaliq Alston, Tamara Nicole Bryant, and Brandon Williams; two great-grandchildren, Taniya Alston and Heavenly Cameron; two brothers, Robert Caine (Deborah) of Brooklyn, NY, and Johnny Caine (Phyllis) of Littleton, NC; one sister, Carolyn C. Faulcon (Joe) of Littleton, NC; one loving aunt, Beatrice Burnette of Littleton, NC; a very special, dedicated nephew, Cortez Caine of Roanoke Rapids, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 31, 2019, at the Fidelity Baptist Church, 627 Summit Road, Littleton, NC. Bishop Roy Foots will deliver the eulogy, and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will repose at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon- 8:30 P.M. on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, and at the church for one hour prior to the funeral time.
