ELIZABETH ALSTON HARRIS FORTE, daughter of the late Alex Alston and Bert Taylor Alston, was born on September 1, 1930, in Warren County, North Carolina. She transitioned from this earthly life and entered her Heavenly home on Thursday, July 16, 2020, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina.
Elizabeth accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior, joined the Odell Baptist Church in Littleton, North Carolina, and remained a member until God called her home.
Elizabeth was united in Holy Matrimony to Wesley Forte, who preceded her in death. She loved gardening and working on her favorite beautiful flowers. One of her greatest joys was when everyone would come and sit on the front porch to laugh and talk.
In addition to her parents and husband, Elizabeth was preceded in death by two sons, James and Calvin Harris; her sister, Nora Smith; and four brothers, Leroy, Robert, Norman, and George Alston.
Those remaining to forever remember the precious treasures of her life and love are her loving daughter, Barbara A. Martin (Douglas) of Jamaica, NY; her son, Leon Harris (Dorethea) of Roanoke Rapids, NC; eight grandchildren, Nikki Tabron of Ewing, NJ, Ketrell Edmonds of Raleigh, NC, Calvin Fields, Tretiachi Settles, Kelvin Harris, and Tanika Harris all of Littleton, NC, and Laronda Martin and Patrick Martin of Jamaica, NY; ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Clinton Alston (Lillie) of Baltimore, MD; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends who will all greatly miss her earthly presence.
