Elder Charlene Daniels Broadnax

Screenshot_2015-08-22-12-53-24Elder Charlene Daniels Broadnax answered God’s call to eternal rest and peace on Thursday, August 20, 2015, at Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. She was born in Nash County, North Carolina, on June 30, 1974, to Margie Daniels Tillery and Willie Tillery who loved and cherished her.

Charlene received her formal education from Northern Nash High School in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and attended Nash Community College as a Criminal Justice major. She was employed as a CNA for numerous years at St. Mary’s Home Care, and was currently an employee of Hobby Lobby in Rocky Mount, where she displayed her talents as a decorator and Department Manager.

Charlene was ordained as a Minister at Higher Calling World Outreach Ministries in Whitakers, North Carolina, where she served faithfully as an Elder of the church.

Those remaining to forever share the legacy of her love and treasure the precious memories of her life are her husband, Will; her children, Aquilla Monique, Rodney, Jr., Tamaria, and Jaden; her parents, Margie and Willie; her maternal grandmother, Martha Daniels; two sisters, Kim (Jermaine) and Tracy (Robert); four brothers, Willie, Jr., Mike Whitaker (Jessica), and Rodney and Travis Reed; a niece she raised, Rodnika, and a host of other nieces; two special nephews, Raeqwon and Tyrell, and a host of other nephews; a host of godchildren; four uncles, George Cherry (Loraine), Gregory Daniels (Melinda), and Isaac and David Daniels; two aunts, Nancy McDaniel (Alvin) and Gladys Ransome (James); her father, Nelson Reed; three other sisters-in-law; two other brothers-in-law; and a host of other family members and friends including her devoted, loyal friends, Sharon Pullen, Tameka Sledge, Stephanie West, and Annie Wilkins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 27, 2015, at Higher Calling World Outreach Ministries, 599 US Highway 301 North, Whitakers, NC. Apostle Gregory Daniels will officiate, and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
