Clifton Earl Norggins, Jr.

Our Gracious and Kind Heavenly Father,

We bow in submission to Your Divine Will, pausing at this moment to return unto You our humble thanks for the gift You gave our family in the person of Clifton Earl Norggins, Jr.

Thank you, Dear God, for his entrance into this world on April 20, 1964, through the union of Martha P. Norggins Faulcon and the late Clifton E. Norggins, Sr.

Clifton accepted Your Son, Jesus Christ, as his personal Savior, was baptized, and joined the Enon Baptist Church in Littleton, North Carolina.

You blessed Clifton to receive his formal education from the Halifax County Public School System, and to graduate from Northwest Halifax High School in Littleton, North Carolina, with the class of 1982.  He then served his country in the United States Army and received the Good Conduct Medal and the Army Achievement Medal for Exemplary Behavior, Efficiency, and Fidelity in Active Federal Military Service.

Clifton was an accomplished artist who loved his craft and was lucky enough to share his art by painting murals for his unit while in the United States Army.  Even during his battle with declining health, he never stopped drawing and painting. The scores of art pieces that he has left will be forever cherished by his family.

After fifty-five years among us as a son, brother, father, and grandfather, he answered your call to eternal life on Saturday, August 31, 2019, surrounded by his loving mother, sisters, and his devoted auntie, Joyce Alston.

We are enriched with the knowledge that Earl will rejoice in the reunion with his beloved father, Clifton E. Norggins, Sr.; his paternal grandparents, Steve and Corine Norggins; his maternal grandparents, Walter and Margaret Alston; his cousin and brother of the heart, Wille Gray “Stevie” Norggins, Jr.; his stepfather, David Faulcon, Jr.; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Those left with precious memories of his life and love are his mother, Martha P. Norggins Faulcon; his daughter, Shavonda Jarrell; two grandchildren whom he adored; his sisters, Milicent Norggins Gilchrist, Gloria Norggins Rennock, Gail Norggins and Anthony Turner, Jennifer and Roy Williams, Shaffey Norggins and Morton White, and Windy and William Brooks; three military brothers of the heart, Mark Gaither, Tony Green, and James Anthony Bryant; other relatives and friends.

These and all other blessings we ask in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit! Amen.

But now, this is what the Lord says, “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned  you by name: you are mine.”                  ISAIAH 43:1
