Bettie Mae Harvey Williams, daughter of Lucy Mae Richardson Harvey and the late Karey Harvey, was born on December 31, 1969, in Halifax County, North Carolina, and entered into eternal rest and peace on Monday, July 20, 2015, at her home in Hollister, North Carolina.
During her early life, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and became a member of the Ivory Hill Baptist Church in Enfield, North Carolina. Her formal education was received in the Halifax County Public School System, and she attended Northwest Halifax High School in Littleton, North Carolina.
Bettie Mae enjoyed babysitting her nieces, working in her flower garden, and traveling.
In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Bernard Harvey; her maternal grandparents, Steven and Beulah Richardson; her paternal grandparents, Wavely and Essie Mae Harvey; five aunts and four uncles.
Those left to forever treasure the precious memory of her life and share in the legacy of her love are her mother, Lucy Mae Harvey (Carl “Pops”); three brothers, Leslie Kent Harvey (Gwen) and Pernell Harvey (Virginia) all of Hollister, NC, and Mike Harvey (Tina) of Warrenton, NC; six nieces, Keyuna, Kentra, Jordan, Tatiana, Shaqueria, and Jazlinde; six aunts, Mabel Richardson, Patricia Baines, Margaret Richardson, Beatrice Carter, Catherine Norman, and Nannie Harvey; her very special friend, Ray Lee Johnson; her three loyal best friends, Keyuna Lynch, Shevon Rudd, and Willie Greggs; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends who will all miss her earthly presence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 25, 2015, at the Bear Swamp Baptist Church in Littleton, NC. Rev. Melvin Johnson will eulogize, and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will repose until 8:30 P.M. on Friday, July 24, 2015, at Robinson Funeral Home in Littleton.
