Annie Mae Price Daniels, daughter of the late Moses Price and Addie Mills Price, was born on March 5, 1927, in Littleton, North Carolina. She departed this earthly life on Friday, June 7, 2019, at Keswick MultiCare Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
Annie Mae received her education in the public school system of Halifax County and graduated from the former McIver High School in Littleton, North Carolina. She accepted Jesus Christ during her early life in Littleton, North Carolina, and after relocating to Baltimore, Maryland, she became a member of the Ray of Hope Baptist Church.
Annie Mae began employment at various food service companies and ended her career at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland, as a part of the catering staff. She retired after twenty-five years of devoted, faithful service.
Annie Mae later met Joseph Robert Daniels, and they were eventually united in marriage on February 21, 1959. They shared thirty-nine years together building a loving home and family until his passing in 1998. She was a devoted wife, mother of two children, Ronald Van Price, Sr. and Terri Joann Griffin, and a dedicated sister and friend.
Annie Mae was a loyal member of the Eastern Star and “The Sunshine Club” which consisted of many of her friends. She was an avid plant lover and had a “green thumb” with all plants and flowers. She loved to cook, and her southern meals always brought the whole family together. There was always an open door and a meal at her home in Baltimore.
After becoming a grandmother, Annie Mae officially and affectionately became, “Mi Mae”, and she cared for her nieces and nephews as though they were her very own children.
In addition to her parents, Annie Mae was preceded in death by two brothers, six sisters, one foster sister, two foster brothers, and one nephew, Kenneth Melvin Price.
Her sweet, loving spirit and precious memory will forever remain in the hearts of her son, Ronald Van Price, Sr.; her daughter, Terri Joann Griffin (Gerald II); one grandson, Ronald Van Price, Jr.; one granddaughter, Myranda Nicole Griffin; one great-granddaughter, Chavonna R. Vaughn; one great-great-granddaughter, McKinleigh Weinapple; one nephew, Nathaniel Price, Sr. (Sandy); one great-nephew, Lennard Langston Johnson II (Yolanda); two great-great nephews, Derrick Williams (Flecther) and Lennard Langston Johnson III; one great-great-great nephew, NaShawn Webb; one great-niece, Esa Parsons; two great-great nieces, Shuntia Williams and Sydney Parsons; and a host of cousins and family friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, June 13, 2019, in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home, 215 US Highway 158, Littleton, NC. Rev. Mark Barfield will eulogize, and burial will follow in the Price Family Cemetery, US Highway 158, Littleton, NC.
