RFH Sign white backgroundTHEAU ARTHUR “TJ” JONES, son of the late Ezekiel Jones and Mary V. Patterson Jones, was born on March 20, 1959, in Warren County, North Carolina. He transitioned from this earthly life to his heavenly home on Saturday, October 31, 2015, at Halifax Regional Medical Center in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.

During his early life, he accepted Christ, was baptized, and became a member of the Enon Baptist Church in Littleton, North Carolina. He loved his church and enjoyed serving on the Usher Board and the kitchen committee. He was faithful and dedicated to all his duties until ill health prevailed.

His formal education was received in the Halifax County Public School System, and he attended Northwest Halifax High School in Littleton, North Carolina.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Wendell Jones.

Those left with treasured memories of his life and loving spirit are his son, TheauArthur Danielle Jefferson, Jr. (Tina) and two grandchildren, Jaquan and JaKayla Jefferson all of Roanoke Rapids, NC; his brother, Lewis K. Jones of Roanoke Rapids, NC; his sister, Penelope D. Jones of Littleton, NC; three nieces, Kenisha and Justus Burgwyn, and K’Nyha Jones all of Littleton, NC; two special sisters, Brenda Moore of Southern Pines, NC, and Sarah Alston of Littleton, NC; one uncle, Ralph Jones (Emma) of Littleton, NC; his godson, Travis Mason of Petersburg, VA; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends, including two loyal, devoted friends, Thurman Burchette of Littleton, NC, and William Mason, Jr. of Henrico, NC.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 7, 2015, at the Enon Missionary Baptist Church in Littleton, NC. The Pastor, Rev. Fred Thorpe, will deliver the eulogy, and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will repose at the church for one hour prior to the funeral time.
