Robert Junious Richardson

ROBERT JUNIOUS RICHARDSON was born to the late Lloyd Richardson and Annie Burgess Richardson on July 3, 1942, in the Bethlehem Community of Warren County, North Carolina. He transitioned from this earthly life to his Heavenly home on Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at his home in Warren County, surrounded by his loving family.

During his early years, Robert accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and became a member of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in the Arcola Community of Warrenton, North Carolina. He served as a Deacon and a Trustee for numerous years.

Robert received his formal education in the Warren County Public School System and graduated from the former John R. Hawkins High School with the class of 1961.

Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1966 to 1972. He became employed with the United States Postal Service and was dedicated to his profession for thirty-five years.

Robert met the love of his life, Rachel Wilson, and they were married on August 24, 1963. God blessed them with two children, Robert II and Crystal.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by three sisters, Panthea Alston, Lillie Green, and Cotez Lee; and one brother, Allen Richardson.

Those loved ones left to cherish every precious moment spent with him are his wife of fifty-six years, Rachel Wilson Richardson of the home; his two children, Robert II (Nicole) of Zebulon, NC, and Crystal (Norman) of Grove Hill, NC; five grandchildren, Jakeya (Todd) of Grove Hill, NC, Trelinni of the home, Robert III and Zaria of Zebulon, NC, and Jourdan Brooks of Grove Hill, NC; three great-grandchildren who were the apples of his eye, and as he would say, his heart strings, Arieal, Ayanna, and Anna; three daughters-of-the-heart, Laura Cotton (Tentrell), Linda Hicks, and Lorraine Hardy (Byron); one grandson-of-the-heart, Dameon Bailey; one sister, Pauline Tabron of Littleton, NC; two brothers, Roland Richardson of Littleton, NC, and James Richardson of Hollister, NC; eight sisters-in-law, Lucille Richardson, Nan Browner, Helen Richardson, Alma Williams, Emma Bryant, Bertha Desmond, Catherine Richardson, and Jean Richardson; four brothers-in-law, Amos Wilson, Rev. Will C. Tabron, Marvin Bryant, Sr., and John Desmond; and a host of nieces and nephews whom he treated as his own, other relatives, and many, many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 22, 2019, at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 2241 NC Highway 43, in the Arcola Community of Warrenton, NC. The Pastor, Rev. Michael Richardson, will eulogize, and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will repose at the funeral home on Saturday, December 21, 2019, from 2:00 – 8:30 P.M., and at the church for one hour prior to the funeral time.
