Pearlie Mae Rosser Clanton

PEARLIE MAE ROSSER CLANTON, daughter of the late Baldie Rosser, Sr. and Eula Alston Rosser, was born on February 9, 1937, in Halifax County, North Carolina. She transitioned from this earthly life to her Heavenly home on Thursday, April 20, 2017, in the serenity of her home in Littleton, North Carolina.

Her formal education was received in the Halifax County Public School System, and during her early life, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior, was baptized, and became a member of the St. Luke Baptist Church in Littleton, North Carolina.

Pearlie Mae was united in Holy Matrimony to Robert Lewis Clanton, Sr. who preceded her in death. God blessed this union with three sons, one of which also predeceased her, Earl Clanton. She was a devoted wife and mother whose quiet manner, sweet spirit, and warm smile will be forever remembered by those whose lives she touched in so many special ways. One of her greatest joys was sharing special moments with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, husband, and son, Pearlie Mae will also join her two sisters, Flonnie Johnson and Bernice Harris; and her four brothers, Baldie Rosser, Jr., Herman Rosser, Clinton Rosser, and Eartis Rosser for a blessed reunion in the presence of the Lord.

Those remaining to forever share the legacy of her love and the precious memories of her life are her two sons, Robert, Jr. and Barry Clanton of the home; her siblings, Irene R. Burgess of Littleton, NC, Octavius Rosser of Manhattan, NY, Frank Rosser (Ida) of Littleton, NC, Robert Rosser (Diane) of Roanoke Rapids, NC, and Rev. McArthur Rosser of Weldon, NC; another sister-in-law, Frances Rosser of Littleton, NC; her caretaker, Nellie Faulcon of Littleton, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loyal relatives, and many friends who will all miss her greatly.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, April 24, 2017, in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home in Littleton, NC. Rev. Will C. Tabron will eulogize, and burial will follow in the St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Bowers Road, Littleton, NC.
