Martha Brown Lee

RFH_Photo1MARTHA ANN BROWN LEE answered God’s summon to eternal rest and peace on Saturday, May 10, 2014, in the serenity of her home in Littleton, North Carolina, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late Alvin Brown and Louise Lee Brown on April 26, 1955, in Halifax County, North Carolina.

During her early life, she professed faith in Christ, was baptized, and became a member of the St. Luke Baptist Church in Littleton, North Carolina. Her formal education was received in the public school system of Halifax County.

Martha was a fun-loving, kind and caring person who was always willing to help anyone she could. She loved her family dearly and will forever be remembered for her warm smile and dedication to others.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Linda Brown Kearney; her brother-in-law, Reginald B. Lee; and her sister-in-law, Shirley Jones.

Those remaining to forever cherish her loving memory and share in the joy of times spent together are her devoted husband, Ronald C. Lee of the home; her daughter, Linda D. Lee of Rich Square, NC; her precious grandchildren, Taron and Tyreika Lee of Rich Square, NC; her sister, Vivian Jones, (Willie, Jr.) of Roanoke Rapids, NC; four brothers, Albert E. Brown (Deborah) of Saginaw, MI, Milton E. Brown of Warrenton, NC, and Richard E. Brown and Joseph B. Brown (Jackie) of Littleton, NC; her mother-in-law, Ernestine A. Lee of Littleton, NC; three sisters-in-law, Gail Patterson, Lois Lee, and Cassaundra Daniels (Albert) all of Littleton, NC; three brothers-in-law, Milton Lee (Lugeria) of Albany, NY, Joseph Lee (Mary Ann) of Littleton, NC, and Howard Jones of Roanoke Rapids, NC; a very special nephew, Willie Lee Burnette, Jr. of Roanoke Rapids, NC; one aunt, Lillian P. Jackson of Littleton, NC; a special friend, Elizabeth Brown of Vaughan, NC; and a host of nieces, other nephews, many relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 15, 2014, in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Robert L. Faulcon, Sr. will eulogize, and burial will follow in the South Street Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Littleton, NC. The body will repose at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, until 8:30 P.M.
