LINDA MARIE HARRISON ADAMS was born to Katherine Thomas Harrison and the late John Woodley Harrison on June 19, 1948, in Littleton, North Carolina. She transitioned from this earthly life and entered the Heavenly realm on Friday, August 24, 2018, at Maria Parham Health in Henderson, North Carolina.
Linda spent her early life in Boston, Massachusetts, and her formal education was received in the Boston Public School System. She became employed with Gillette’s Shaving Headquarters in Boston and retired after many years of loyal dedicated service.
Linda loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed playing card games, cooking, shopping, and watching movies. One of her greatest joys was bowling, and she was very active in local bowling leagues.
After retirement, Linda returned to her birth home of Littleton, North Carolina, and reunited with her home church, the Olive Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Littleton, North Carolina.
In addition to her father, Linda was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, April Michelle Adams-Mercer.
Those loved ones remaining to forever treasure her precious memory and share the legacy of her love are her two daughters, Stephanie Adams-Williams (Gabriel Williams) of Boston, MA, and Mukiya Adams of Macon, NC; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; her mother, Katherine Thomas Harrison of Littleton, NC; her four siblings, John Harrison, Jr. of Littleton, NC, Joyce Harrison of Boston, MA, Doris Harrison of Worcester, MA, and Jacqueline Brown (Wayne) of Charlotte, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at the Olive Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 915 Eaton Ferry Road, Littleton, NC. The Pastor, Rev. Charles E. Walton, will eulogize, and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will repose at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon – 8:30 P.M. on Friday, August 31, 2018, with the family receiving friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. The body may also be viewed at the church for one hour prior to the funeral time.
