Leonard Alston

LEONARD ALSTON was born to Lenward Alston and the late Vinnie Lee Alston on November 14, 1970, in Halifax County, North Carolina. He answered God’s call to eternal rest on Friday, August 2, 2019, at his home in Littleton, North Carolina.

During his early life, he professed faith in Jesus Christ, was baptized, and became a lifelong member of the St. Luke Baptist Church in Littleton, North Carolina.

Leonard’s formal education was received in the Halifax County Public School System, and he graduated from Northwest Halifax High School in Littleton, North Carolina, with the class of 1989. He became employed with D and J Logging where he remained loyal and dedicated until ill health prevailed.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one brother, Calvin Hendricks.

Those now left to forever treasure the precious memory of his life are his father, Lenward Alston of the home; two brothers, James C. (Lorraine) and Craig (Jamie) all of Littleton, NC; one sister, Cheryl Alston of Littleton, NC; six nephews, Jammie, Daryl, Daniel, Cordero, Craig, and Cedric; two nieces, Zamora and Tamora; two aunts, Velma Lee and Josephine Lee of Littleton, NC; a special daughter-of-the-heart, Tiffany Arrington; and a host of great-nieces and nephews, other loving family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 10, 2019, in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home, 215 US Highway 158, Littleton, NC. Rev. Will C. Tabron will eulogize, and burial will follow in the St. Luke Baptist Church Cemetery, 6154 Bowers Road, Littleton, NC.  The body will repose at the funeral home on Friday, August 9, 2019, from 12:00 Noon – 8:30 P.M.
