Eugene “Stag” Williams, Jr.

RFH Sign white backgroundEUGENE “STAG” WILLIAMS, JR., son of the late Eugene Williams, Sr. and Nannie Arrington Williams, was born on May 8, 1929, in Halifax County, North Carolina.  He entered into eternal rest and peace on Sunday, October 19, 2014, at Halifax Regional Medical Center in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.

During his early life, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior, was baptized, and became a member of the Saint Luke Baptist Church in Littleton, North Carolina.

He was employed in the farming and logging industries for many years and enjoyed spending time with his buddies.

Those left to share lasting memories of his life are his brother, Thomas Williams of Fredericksburg, VA; three nieces, Gloria Jean Browning of Littleton, NC, and Minister Lenora Johnson and Rebecca Brothers of Brooklyn, NY; four nephews, William Kenneth Browning (Lisa) of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Charlie Williams (Doris) of Enfield, NC, Rev. Walter Williams ( Shelia) of Roanoke Rapids, NC, and McCarroll Williams (Celnora) of Littleton, NC; his devoted caregiver, Annie Hawkins of Littleton, NC; and a host cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, October 24, 2014, at the Saint Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Littleton, NC. Rev. Mark Barfield will eulogize, and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening, October 23, 2014, from 6:00 – 7:00 P.M.
