Donna Katrice Richardson

DONNA KATRICE RICHARDSON, daughter of Michael Richardson and Cathy Jackson, was born on February 18, 1981, in Nash County, North Carolina. She departed this earthly life and joined her Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 28, 2018, at Halifax Regional Medical Center in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.

Donna’s formal education was received in the Halifax County Public School System, and she attended Northwest Halifax High School in Littleton, North Carolina. She furthered her studies at Ashworth College in the field of accounting. She was employed with Walmart of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and was a devoted loyal employee for fourteen years.

Donna enjoyed creating beautiful baskets for special occasions, collecting snow globes, Completing Jigsaw puzzles, cooking, and she was a great fan of Betty Boop.

Donna enjoyed spending time with her close-knit family.  Her two adorable children were her world. She gave of her love, her time, and her talents to carve a special place in their hearts that would forever leave a positive nurturing impact.

Loved ones that preceded her in death include her maternal grandparents, Kenny Abel and Pearl Lynch.

Those left to treasure the precious memory of her life and to share the legacy of her love are her children, Desiree and Frederic of the home; her mother, Cathy Jackson (Curtis); her father, Michael Richardson (Cathy); three brothers, Joshua Richardson (Deriann), Saha’Whe Green  (Audrey), and Kehoni Green (Victoria); three sisters, Caitlin Jackson, Ariel Jackson, and Tamika Patton (Antonio); her paternal grandparents, Leroy and Vernella Richardson; four aunts, Charlean Brown (Jonnie), Ellen Denise Brown (David), Rowena Lynch (Randy), and Penelope Boone (Robert); eight uncles, Melvin Lynch (Theagis), Larry Richardson (Helena), McCarroll Richardson (Ester), Hurley Richardson (Naomi), Tyrone Richardson, Kenneth Richardson (Flora), Roscoe Richardson, and Hornor Richardson (Mary Alice); a special friend, Walter Vick; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-aunts, great-uncles, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, February 2, 2018, at the Ivory Hill Baptist Church in Enfield, NC. The Pastor, Rev. Felix O. Petteway, will eulogize, and burial will follow in the Tilman-Lynch Family Cemetery in Hollister, NC. The body will repose at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon – 8:30 PM on Thursday, February 1, 2018, with the family receiving friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
