Alfreda Taylor Hedgepeth

hedgepethOn June 3, 1956, Alfreda Taylor Hedgepeth was born to Addie B. Taylor and the late Charlie Mack Taylor in Halifax County, North Carolina, and departed this earthly life on Monday, September 22, 2014, at her home in Halifax, North Carolina, surrounded by her loved ones.

During her early life, Alfreda accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was a member of the Enon Missionary Baptist Church in Littleton, North Carolina. She served faithfully in the Missionary Circle, on the Usher Board, and as the church secretary, and remained devoted to her duties until her health declined.

Alfreda’s formal education was received in the Halifax County Public School System. She became employed as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant with Autumn Care in Nashville, North Carolina, and was  dedicated and loyal to her position for fifteen years. She was also employed at Interium Home Health Care.

Those remaining to forever share precious memories and treasure special times are her husband of twenty-five years, Forgan Hedgepeth, Sr. of the home; two sons, Kelvin Taylor (Reesheda)  and Forgan Hedgepeth, Jr. all of Roanoke Rapids, NC; one daughter, Monique Hedgepeth of Halifax, NC; four grandchildren, Forcesca Hedgepeth (Pooh Pooh) of Fayetteville, NC, Diamond Reed of Goldsboro, NC, Forgan Joyner (Dough) of Conway, NC, and Kaden Hedgepeth of Roanoke Rapids, NC; her mother, Addie B. Taylor of Littleton, NC; one sister, Claratta Taylor of Gaston, NC; four brothers, Charlie Taylor and James Taylor of Littleton, NC, Andrew Taylor (Patricia) of Hollister, NC, and Michael Taylor (Doris) of Obernburg, Germany; three sisters-in-law, Geneva Whitaker, Carrie Davis (Melvin), and Dail Pittman (Kalvin); two brothers-in-law, George Hedgepeth and Lewis McSwain; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will all greatly miss her earthly presence.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 27, 2014, at the Enon Missionary Baptist Church in Littleton, NC. The Pastor, Rev. Fred Thorpe, will eulogize, and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will repose at Robinson Funeral Home in Littleton, NC, until 8:30 P.M. on Friday, September 26, 2014.
