It has pleased our God Almighty to remove from our presence a beloved sister, aunt, companion, and friend. On Monday, October, 1, 2018, our loved one, ADDIE MARGRETTA FAULCON JOHNSON, peacefully departed this earthly life and entered into the presence of her Heavenly Father in the serenity of her sister’s home in Littleton, North Carolina, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late Gundy Faulcon and Addie Carter Faulcon on March 28, 1958, in Halifax County, North Carolina.
During her early life, Addie professed her faith and love for Christ at the Mount Olive Baptist Church in Littleton, North Carolina. She received her early education through the Halifax County Public School System and became employed at the former J. P. Stevens and Company of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, Perdue of Southern Virginia, and later at Genesis Health Long-term Care Facility of Towson, Maryland.
Affectionately called, “Puddin”, Addie enjoyed cooking, washing, hanging clothes on the line, and aiding her many nieces and nephews with love and care, investing her time and advice whenever she was needed. Her caring ways extended to other family members as well. She was her mother’s caregiver until she entered the arms of her Lord and Savior on January 29, 2018. She also cared for the health and well-being of her long-time companion, Herbert Johnson, until ill health prevailed. One of her greatest passions was making sure her family and friends felt love, experienced many great meals, and enjoyed the laughter shared during their family gatherings. Her other passion was dressing in fine clothes and stepping out!
In addition to her parents, Addie was predeceased by five siblings, Gundy Jr., Ricky, Kenneth, Catherine, and Larry.
Those left to cherish the precious memories of her life and love are her sisters, Frances Rosser and Lisa Squire (Cecil) all of Littleton, NC, Patricia Foots of Plainfield, NJ, Joanie Payne of Fayetteville, NC, and Tamala Ellis (Paul) of Weldon, NC; her brothers, Charles Faulcon (Nellie) of Littleton, NC, Morris Faulcon (Louise) and Stanley Faulcon all of Baltimore, MD, Kelvin Clanton (Tegra) of Baltimore MD, and Armond Ellis (Joanne) of Roanoke Rapids, NC; two other sisters-in-law, Betty Faulcon of Clinton, MD, and Ernestine Faulcon of Littleton, NC; one aunt, Dorothy Carter of Littleton, NC; one uncle, Marvin Faulcon of Raleigh, NC; twenty-three nieces and nephews; twenty-nine great-nieces and nephews; numerous great-great-nieces and nephews all of whom she played an integral role in rearing, especially Kanayle and Jaden; her loving companion, Herbert Johnson of Littleton, NC; her loyal friend, Thelma Riggins of Emporia, VA; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Her kind and gentle ways touched the lives of so many, and she will be missed by countless other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 7, 2018, at the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 127 Rock House Road, Littleton, NC. Rev.
